A group lot of United States cents. The one-cent piece has been struck without interruption since 1793 and has run through more distinct designs than almost any other American denomination: the large copper cents of the early republic, the Flying Eagle and Indian Head issues of the mid-1800s, the Lincoln wheat reverse from 1909 to 1958, and the reverses that followed it. Sorting a cent accumulation by date and mint mark is the cheapest education in a coin series anyone will ever get.
This lot has sold. Cent accumulations – jars, rolls, partial albums – are bought outright from the public at the shop.
