An odd denomination created and abandoned inside the same reform. Contains 0.3734 troy oz of fine gold at 90% (.900 fine), approximately 12.90 g gross weight.
The 15 Roubles exists because the Witte reform revalued the rouble against gold and the old Imperial coin’s weight no longer matched its face value. Rather than restrike, Russia just renamed it. Struck in 1897 and then dropped.
Metal content: 0.3734 troy oz fine gold · 90% (.900 fine) · approx. 12.90 g gross weight
