Slabbed means the coin has been sealed in a rigid holder by a third-party grading service, which fixes the grade and protects the surfaces from handling. These were Indian head cents, a series that ran from 1859 to 1909 and moved from a copper-nickel alloy to bronze during the Civil War years.
They have sold. Certified coins take some of the guesswork out of a transaction, and we buy them outright from the public in their holders.
