Three certified Morgan dollars made up this lot: an 1904-O graded MS66, an 1884 at MS65 and an 1899 at MS64. The 1904-O has a story attached to it – for decades the date was considered genuinely difficult in mint state, until Treasury vault releases in the early 1960s poured bags of them onto the market and reset the price overnight. All three grades sit in gem and near-gem territory, where strike and surface matter far more than wear.
