Larimar comes from one mountainside in the Dominican Republic and nowhere else on earth. A blue variety of pectolite, it was only identified and named in the 1970s, which makes it a genuinely modern gemstone; the best material shows the white cloud-and-water figuring that earns it the Caribbean comparison. This one is set in .925 sterling.
