Between the Walking Liberty and the Kennedy sat the Franklin, a short series running from 1948 to 1963 with John R. Sinnock’s portrait on the obverse and the Liberty Bell, crack included, on the reverse. The 90% silver alloy puts roughly 0.36 troy ounce of silver in every coin. This one was graded MS65 by NGC.
It sold some time ago. Franklins in gem grades always get our attention, and we buy them outright from the public along with the rest of the pre-1965 silver.
