Struck in 2016, the thirtieth year of the American Silver Eagle program, this piece carries PCGS MS70 with a First Strike designation, which PCGS applies to coins submitted within the first month of a release. It is described as 1 of 1,144. Silver Eagles hold one troy ounce of .999 fine silver and use Adolph A. Weinman’s Walking Liberty figure on the obverse, carried over from the half dollar he designed in 1916.
This example is also toned, meaning color has developed across the surfaces since it left the Mint, which on a sealed perfect-grade coin is the whole reason to look at it rather than any other MS70. Come look at it in person in St. Augustine.
