PCGS appears to have revived their 1989 Generation 2.0 Holder style for a brief period. Known as the “Doily” or “Waffle” pattern, PCGS developed the design as a security feature. It was not long before PCGS revamp the design in favor of the plane green label OGH design. The 1989 Doily labels, as well as the PCGS modern release of the design, is very scarce.
