China’s Lunar series has issued a new animal every year since 1981, and 2001 was the Year of the Snake. This is the one-ounce silver 10 yuan proof strike, and snake years tend to produce some of the more graphic designs in the series simply because of what a coiled animal does with a circular field.
It comes in its capsule and box as issued. Lunar coins get collected one animal at a time and twelve at a time, so this fits either approach. Available to view at the shop in St. Augustine.
