Venezuela’s half-onza gold coin of 1974, from the La Onza Venezolana issue, struck in .900 fine gold. The onza is the troy ounce, so this is a coin denominated by weight of gold rather than by a face value in bolivars, which is how a number of bullion-style issues of the era were set up.
