Serving St. Johns County

Where St. Johns County Sells Gold, Coins & Jewelry

Wherever you are in St. Johns County — the town of St. Johns included — one counter covers it all. Ours is in downtown St. Augustine, about thirty minutes via CR-210 to I-95 or US-1, buying jewelry, coins, bullion, watches, and designer pieces seven days a week.

Bring it in

What we buy.

Jewelry — gold, platinum, silver, diamonds

  • Gold, platinum, and silver jewelry in any condition — worn daily, broken, bent, mismatched, or missing stones
  • Designer and signed pieces — Cartier, Tiffany & Co., David Yurman and others — checked for collector value before anything is priced as metal
  • Diamonds, set or loose, with or without a certificate — graded on cut, color, clarity, and carat
  • Estate and inherited jewelry — bring the whole box; separating real from plate and stones from paste is our job, not yours

Whatever the mix in the box — broken chains, a diamond, a signed bracelet — it is sorted and priced at one counter. Call (904) 500-2646 for a ballpark first.

Coins — US, world, and certified

  • US type coins and key dates — Morgan and Peace dollars, Walking Liberty halves, Mercury dimes, Indian and wheat cents, and the better dates in every series
  • PCGS and NGC certified coins, graded sets, proof and mint sets, and commemoratives
  • 90% junk silver by the roll, the bag, or the coffee can — priced off live silver
  • World coins, Spanish colonial and shipwreck pieces, and whole collections or inherited albums — evaluated coin by coin, never dumped on the scale

Albums, rolls, and inherited collections from anywhere in the county are graded coin by coin here. Call (904) 500-2646 and we will set aside the time.

Bullion — coins, bars, and rounds

  • American Gold and Silver Eagles, Canadian Maple Leafs, South African Krugerrands, and Gold Buffalos
  • Bars and rounds from any mint, one gram to one kilo — sovereign and generic both priced off live spot, with the difference explained
  • Monster boxes, tubes, and stacks built over years — call ahead for volume and the time and the payment are ready when you arrive
  • Platinum and palladium coins and bars

Eagles, bars, and junk silver sell off live spot in front of you. For volume, call (904) 500-2646 and the payment is ready when you arrive.

Also bought at the same counter

  • Luxury watches — Rolex, Omega, Breitling, Cartier, TAG Heuer, and Tudor — running or not, with or without box and papers
  • Designer handbags and accessories, authenticated at the counter
  • Sterling silver flatware, hollowware, and tea services
  • Sports cards — graded slabs and raw collections

From St. Johns

One county, one counter

From the town of St. Johns and the CR-210 corridor, take CR-210 east to I-95 south and get off at Exit 318 (SR-16), then follow SR-16 east to US-1 and turn south — about thirty minutes to 112 N Ponce de Leon Blvd, free parking on site. From Hastings and the south end of the county, SR-207 runs straight up to US-1.

Sellers come down from St. Johns, Fruit Cove, and Julington Creek every month, and the county sells a little of everything: the jewelry box after a move, a parent's coin collection, a watch, stacked bullion, and sterling nobody polishes anymore. There is no second location — Ponte Vedra to Hastings, every community in the county sells at the same downtown counter, with the same live pricing for everyone.

Plenty of counters along CR-210 will buy gold; the difference is that ours buys every category — jewelry, coins, bullion, watches, designer — and the people behind it grade coins and test metal for a living, seven days a week. The estate settles in one trip instead of three. Call first and we will give you a ballpark by phone or by text with photos.

How it works

Weighed, tested, paid — no surprises.

  1. Weighed and XRF-testedA certified scale and XRF analysis at the counter — we are transparent about what we find and will answer any questions about your items.
  2. An offer off the live spot boardPriced from the same live spot chart on our prices page, or the collector market — whichever is worth more to you.
  3. Paid the same dayAccept and you are paid on the spot. Decline and everything goes back in your pocket — no pressure, no fee.

How the offer is built

Your items go on a certified scale and under the XRF analyzer in front of you, so karat and purity are read from the metal itself, not from a stamp.

The offer comes off the live spot board at the moment you sell — the same board on our prices page — and when a coin, a signed piece, or a watch carries a collector premium, that premium is priced in on top of the metal.

Competing quotes are welcome. Get one elsewhere if you like, then make us your last stop — we would rather sharpen a number than watch you sell somewhere else.

We sell too

What we sell.

The same counter sells: gold and silver bullion at live spot — Eagles, Maple Leafs, bars, and rounds — plus certified coins, Goldbacks, pre-owned jewelry and watches, and authenticated designer goods.

Browse the showroom at 112 N Ponce de Leon Blvd or shop online at callthevault.com. Anything you sell us can go straight toward something from the showcases in the same visit.

Questions

Asked before the drive.

Who pays the most for gold in St. Johns County?

We do our best to make sure it is us — top-dollar offers, live spot pricing, and a genuine wish to be your last stop after any other quotes. Everything we find gets explained, and every question gets answered. Call (904) 500-2646 before you head out and we will talk through what you have.

Do you really serve the whole county?

Yes — St. Johns, Nocatee, Julington Creek, Fruit Cove, Ponte Vedra, World Golf Village, Hastings, and everything between. There is no second location; every community in the county sells at the same St. Augustine counter, and for the largest estates we come to you.

Can I get a ballpark before I drive from St. Johns?

Yes. Call (904) 500-2646, or text photos of what you have to the same number, and we will give you an honest ballpark — enough to know whether the trip is worth it. The firm offer happens at the counter once the piece has been weighed, tested, and seen in person.

Do I need to know what my items are worth before I come in?

No. Bringing things in not knowing is completely normal. We identify, weigh, and test everything, explain what it is, and make an offer you are free to decline.

What does Florida law require when I sell?

A government-issued photo ID, which Florida requires registered secondhand dealers to record for precious-metal purchases. It is a legal requirement that protects sellers — one more reason to choose a registered counter over a stranger online.

Is The Vault a pawn shop?

No. We are a registered Florida secondhand dealer, not a pawnbroker. We buy your items outright and pay you the same day — there are no loans, no interest, and nothing to buy back.

Do you buy broken or damaged gold?

Yes. Broken chains, single earrings, bent rings, and pieces missing stones all sell for their metal — weighed, XRF-tested, and priced off live spot. Dental gold too. Nothing needs repairing or cleaning first.

Do I need an appointment to sell from St. Johns?

No — walk in. The counter is open seven days a week: Monday to Friday 9–6, Saturday 10–4, Sunday 11–4. Only large collections or estates need a call ahead so we can set aside the time, and for the largest we come to you.

Simply a great experience. We are new to the area and like most people slightly apprehensive about the honesty and integrity of businesses that I have never dealt with before. Much to my pleasure this business represents a forthright manner of sincere principles that they use to conduct business. I would highly recommend them to everyone.
