SR-13 out of Fruit Cove is the pretty way — south along the St. Johns River, over to SR-16, and into St. Augustine where SR-16 meets US-1; turn south and our counter at 112 N Ponce de Leon Blvd is minutes away, free parking on site. Roughly thirty-five minutes, or CR-210 to I-95 south and Exit 318 when the river road is slow.
Sellers come down from Fruit Cove every month, and what they bring is mostly gold and diamonds: a wedding set from a marriage that ended, a solitaire being traded up, chains and bracelets of every karat, plus the gold coins and small bars kept in the deposit box. Your items go on a certified scale and under the XRF analyzer in front of you, so karat and purity are read from the metal itself, not from a stamp.
The offer comes off the live spot board at the moment you sell — the same board on our prices page — and when a coin, a signed piece, or a watch carries a collector premium, that premium is priced in on top of the metal.

Do you buy the diamond separately from its setting?
Yes — the stone and the gold are valued independently, then added together, which is usually better for you than one lump guess. Keep the setting if you prefer; we can price the stone alone.
Can I sell just one ring from Fruit Cove, or do you want whole lots?
One ring is plenty. Single-item sales are half our day, and the thirty-five minutes down SR-13 covers the test, the offer, and the payment in one go.
Can I get a ballpark before I drive from Fruit Cove?
Yes. Call (904) 500-2646, or text photos of what you have to the same number, and we will give you an honest ballpark — enough to know whether the trip is worth it. The firm offer happens at the counter once the piece has been weighed, tested, and seen in person.
How long will the evaluation take once I arrive?
A ring or a few chains take only minutes at the counter; add a little more for stones, since diamonds are graded individually. Most Fruit Cove sellers are finished, paid, and heading back up SR-13 within the hour.
Is The Vault a pawn shop?
No. We are a registered Florida secondhand dealer, not a pawnbroker. We buy your items outright and pay you the same day — there are no loans, no interest, and nothing to buy back.
Do you buy broken or damaged gold?
Yes. Broken chains, single earrings, bent rings, and pieces missing stones all sell for their metal — weighed, XRF-tested, and priced off live spot. Dental gold too. Nothing needs repairing or cleaning first.

What ID do I need to sell?
A valid government-issued photo ID — driver license, state ID, passport, or military ID. Florida law requires us to record it for every precious-metal purchase, even for a single ring. Certificates, boxes, and receipts help but are never required.
